It has always been important to me to raise an independent and confident child, which is why I love the Montessori method. If you feel the same way as me, remember that these methods don’t have to stay in the classroom. You can easily bring them into your home as well and one way to do so is by bringing in Montessori books that encourage these concepts!

What is Montessori?

First things first! The Montessori Method is an educational program designed by Dr. Maria Montessori. The program’s core mission is to develop students who are capable, accountable, knowledgeable people with a strong sense of self they will need to thrive in the real world. The key difference in Montessori is that the education is student-led and self-paced but guided and assessed by teachers. The Montessori Method believes that growth and key education start from birth through age 6 and it is a critical time to set a strong foundation for a child’s future. And, the methods don’t apply solely to school! You can bring the Montessori Method into your home with toys and books that encourage these concepts.

This unique, innovative trace-and-flip book helps children to discover the numbers 1 through 20 and learn to count! Toddlers can trace each number by following the tracks with a finger to become familiar with its shape. There is also a colorful lift-the-flap on page that includes one of the featured objects to encourage counting. We love it because it’s interactive and fun!
