All babies are different, and finding a formula that fits your baby’s needs may take some trial and error, especially if you have a baby with a sensitive tummy. Many parents spend hours researching formulas and still have no idea what to get. Let us save you some time and energy with a simple and clear review of Bobbie Organic Infant Formula.

Bobbie Formula is new to the market but is quickly rising in popularity. It is a USDA Organic and non-GMO milk-based formula based on a European-style recipe and modeled after breast milk. Bobbie was founded in 2021 by two mothers who wanted to see a quality infant formula that was affordable and could be used from birth to 12 months on the shelves. Bobbie infant formula takes a distinctively European approach to ingredients and nutrition (which has extremely high standards) while maintaining local sourcing and manufacturing, reliable availability, and US regulatory compliance meeting FDA nutritional requirements.

What’s in Bobbie Formula?

In my research, I found that Bobbie Organic Infant Formula was developed by a group they call the Bobbie Medical Affairs Team. Consisting of pediatricians, scientists, OB-GYNs, pediatric nutritionists, lactation consultants, and doulas. This team of leading experts worked together to develop a trusted infant formula.

Bobbie formula’s recipe is 57 percent carbohydrates for energy, 28 percent fat for growth, 11 percent proteins for development, and 2 percent vitamins and minerals for growth and development. It has a 60:40 whey-to-casein ratio, which is very similar to breast milk. Also similar to breast milk, they use lactose as a primary carbohydrate.

The ingredients in Bobbie are all sourced with a purpose: to be organic and the best. The milk comes from pasture-raised dairy cows from some family farms across the US, which means you can put your mind at ease; your baby is getting the best. Bobbie’s lactose and whey are top quality from small farmers who are committed to small-batch processing and attention to detail.

Bobbie’s Non-GMO, USDA organic, plant-based, and solvent-free oils are sourced from all over the globe and produced by a 5th generation family business, where quality is at the forefront of everything they do. Bobbie prides itself on having no corn syrup, no palm oil, and no maltodextrin. Check out their full list of ingredients here.

What’s Missing?

Bobbie formula does not include any added prebiotics or probiotics. Therefore, if your baby has trouble passing milk or formula without help, this may not be the best option for you. They also are not a good choice for babies who cannot digest cow’s milk (lactose intolerant) or have food allergies.

Where and How Much?

One of the challenges parents face when choosing and purchasing a baby formula is figuring out exactly how much formula their babies need, and therefore how much to order. What we love about Bobbie’s website is they provide an easy-to-read feeding recommendations guide (including if you are combo feeding breast milk and formula!) and how many cans are needed each month. Bobbie is available on their website via subscription or one-time purchase. Subscriptions are flexible and designed to support everyone. You can change your shipping frequency, pause, or cancel your subscription at any time. It is also available at Target!

Bobbie Organic Infant Formula costs $26 per 14.1-ounce can. Each makes about 106 fluid ounces (13 8-ounce bottles).

What Real Moms Say about Bobbie

When looking around for reviews on Bobbie Formula, these were the ones that stood out the most to me!

“We are so grateful to have found Bobbie to help us on our feeding journey. Bobbie has been with us combo-feeding to formula-only to formula + foods… and our daughter and her tummy have been happy!” – Sara, August 17, 2022

“I wanted a formula that was organic and thoughtful about its ingredients. Bobbie met those criteria. My daughter has thrived on it. The few feeding issues she had disappeared when we switched to Bobbie. I also enjoy how Bobbie supports moms in an authentic manner. We should be able to feed our babies formula without shame or guilt. Enough with the pressure on moms to breastfeed. That is not an option for some of us and that is ok. My daughter and I have a strong, deep bond, and I bottle fed her from birth.” –Meghan, July 14, 2022

“My family and my baby LOVE Bobbie! This company has had me from the very beginning, as its ingredients are safe and best for my baby; however, when the formula shortage started, I never had to worry about how my baby was going to be fed because Bobbie kept me constantly updated and assured that they would still be able to provide formula for my baby. I cannot thank this company enough! Bobbie has kept its promise to the families that they serve, and I will be eternally grateful for that commitment and dedication that they have to their clients. THANK YOU!” –Jordon, July 12, 2022
