The Rookie Mom editors went on the hunt for Christmas-themed nightly reads and “I Got the Christmas Spirit” is a new favorite all around! It is about a young African American girl who is overjoyed that the Christmas season has arrived. She explores all winter has to offer and learns that the spirit is in her!

Our editor Emily loves this sweet way to add a little extra magic to your little one’s Christmas. She is excited that kiddos will be able to make memories with Santa this year even if they won’t be able to see him in person or sit on his lap.

Package from Santa allows you to create custom, personalized packages that can include everything from a certificate for making it onto the nice list to a call from Santa, reindeer food to leave out on Christmas Eve, and more!

When we asked the Rookie Moms Facebook Group their favorite holiday traditions, the Christmas Pickle came up over and over again!

This is what Melissa had to say:

“We have a tree ornament in the shape of the pickle. We hang it on the tree Christmas Eve night so the first person to find it Christmas morning gets to open the first gift!… it is fun getting the kids to race to the tree to find the pickle!”

8. Papa Noel Punch Bowl & Mugs

Another amazing find from Rookie Mom Squad mama Robin! This punch bowl set is one of those items that you will be so excited to grab out of the Christmas box for years to come.

9. Customized Ornaments for the Family

Among our Facebook Group mamas, another favorite was customized ornaments to celebrate first Christmases or something special each child loved that year.

Here is what Kristen had to say:

“I had my first child last year. We had an ornament made for our son, he was Simba for Halloween so we had a Simba ball ornament made. This year he loved toy story and was Woody for Halloween, so we are having a Woody ball ornament made. We plan to gift our kids their custom ornaments each year on the night we decorate the tree!”

10. Hanging Advent Calendar

Target’s holiday decor gets better and better every year and this Advent Calendar is no exception! All of our editor’s love the idea of being able to pick special little treats and gifts to count down to Christmas with versus the usual single use calendars filled with chocolate.

What is one item you are obsessed with this holiday season?
