All across the country, Baby Loves Disco is slowly but surely transforming the hippest night clubs into child proof discos as toddlers, pre-schoolers and parents looking for a break from the routine playground circuit let loose for some post naptime, pre-dinner fun. Make no mistake, this is NOT the Mickey Mouse club, and Barney is Banned. Baby loves disco is an afternoon dance party featuring real music spun and mixed by real djs blending classic disco tunes From the 70s, & 80s guaranteed to get those little booties moving and grooving.
Baby Loves Disco tickets are hot hot hot. Whitney and I hit the clubs in San Francisco last fall and loved it! What better excuse for a pregnant woman to rock out in a swanky night club munching on cheese sticks and dodging day-glow hula hoops? There is none.
Local readers: BLD is in Pleasanton this weekend! It’s time to rock the East Bay. Details here at SVMomsBlog.

wow – they must sell out quite fast because the 10/21 date has zero tickets available! the only one open now is for december!!
we went to the July Baby Loves Disco and I had kinda mixed feelings. I’m pro any baby-related activity with booze, but it was too much like the Ruby Skye I remember from my twenties, only lots brighter. Did you go? What did you think?? (off-topic: thanks for the summer toes flick tip, I added my photo).
We went to this last month in L.A. – the location really sucked. It was on the really, really bad side of town (The Larchmont on EAST Melrose) and the place didn’t have A/C. Most of the parents showed up and left after an hour.
The locations at other cities look so much better too….
Just sad, we had high hopes for it since it’s a great idea.
We just went to the one in SF. We also had mixed feelings. Our son, who is almost two years old, usually loves to dance. He was a little overwhelmed and only sat on his Dad’s shoulders holding a hula hoop. We did manage to get a drink (he was not on Daddy’s shoulders at the time) and that was…refreshing. I think we’ll wait until he’s a little older to come back for the party.
