What?! Yep, a pickle spear for a baby… I found out about this little trick while Holden was sitting in my lap and I was trying to eat a slice of pizza. I handed him the pickle spear figuring he’d lick it, make a face and get on with grabbing for my lunch. Well, he loved it!
Recently, I was discussing this unorthodox “food” with some other rookie mom friends and 3 out of 4 of them also gave their toothless kids pickles to make ‘em happy.
Stick a pickle spear in that greedy hand and watch closely to make sure no chunks are gnawed or bitten off.
