As Holden grows older, some folks like to say he looks more and more like his daddy. I can see it: the brown hair, the boyishness, the brown eyes. But I totally disagree. Look at this picture of him next to little me.
Also, he won’t want to hear this, but personality-wise, he’s a mini me right now. He likes nothing better than being the boss of the day and controlling everything. If I planned a day of only Holden’s favorites, he would be frustrated that he didn’t plan the day of fun. I totally get that. A surprise party — even with only my favorite activities and people — would totally stress me out.
Is your kid a mini version of you (even if he would HATE to hear it)?

The resemblance is UNbelievable, and although I so don’t relate to both of you resisting surprises (crazy town), your highlighting that similarity is really astute. Maybe you’ll have extra skills to predict how Holden will feel about different situations as he grows up.
I love these two pictures. Thanks for capturing them in our shared digital baby book
Oh wow! The resemblance is uncanny! He definitely looks like you!
My oldest is totally a mini me in my personality, poor kid. But so far I’m 0-3 in the looking like me area. They all look like my husband. They should be thanking me that I married such an attractive man.
Oh yes, my son is ALL me…physically, and maybe personality (he’s just 9 months, but my personality is starting to peek thru) With the exception of his dimples, which come from my mother, ALL me. {poor guy}…=)
Holy cow! He is totally a mini you! My kids have all gone through phases of looking just like me, usually around the age of 2-3, but my husband’s darker and has stronger features and they tend to take over at some point
