My family of four had an adventurous Spring Break to Legoland California and I wrote up some of our favorites on our local site, 510families.com.
Here’s a gratuitous cute photo of the boys at Miniland, small models of famous places in the world including world cities and Star Wars scenes. Milo wanted to be tiny and live there in real life.

In a nutshell, it is a super great place for Lego-enthusiasts, especially those age 4 to 7. My kids thought the place was made for them. Come to think of it, so did my husband! Because we are already Lego fans, we were delighted rather than disgusted at the opportunities to view and purchase more Legos. If this sounds like your family, then read my tips and get planning your own trip! If you’re not that into Legos, I would not bother.

We have spent the last 3 spring breaks at Legoland California and LOVE IT! My son is now 6 and it is the highlight to his year!
Perfect vacation place.
Definitely going here! Just building funds. My and my kid love Lego!
If you have two kids under 45 inches and are a single parent, do not go. Wait until you have one parent per child. Many of the rides require a parent for each, which makes it somewhat of a nightmare for single parents with more than one kid. Also, if your kid needs a paci when they are tired and you plan on being there for a long time, bring back ups they do not sell any (or at least not last July 2010).
Aside from that it is a great place.
