Do you want to squeeze in some exercise during your day? But also just want to lay around?
While lying on the floor, hold baby above you and rhythmically lower baby to your face, kiss baby’s face all over, and raise baby back up again… I used to like to say “kiss the baby” when I kissed his face so he could build vocabulary while I struggled to regain core strength.
Realize this may not be such a good game to play right after a meal or if your baby has reflux. Trust me.

You can also put your baby on your bent knees, while lying down, then lower the legs to the bed and back up again! Baby loves the up and down motion and you get to do your lower abs!!!
My baby is 4 1/2 months old and is now strong enough to do this with. We tried it for the first time last week. What fun!
My son and I love to do this!
this is so much fun you don’t notice the workout til you stop and the giggles keep you motivated to do more and more. you can also do a tricep one (if bubby’s not too huge!)
Eh, the spit-up risk just lets you sharpen your reflexes, too!
I’ve found that if I then lift her past my head (“over” if I were standing up – does that make sense) I get a great upper back stretch.
I would like to strongly agree with you on the point that this is not the activity for people who have babies with reflux.
(Trust her people. She knows.)
Indeed, I prepare for the saliva onslaught by the end of the first set! If your baby’s feeling adventurous, you can do triceps this way too!
Great idea! And yes, definitely wait until after meal time.
