Do you love your 4th trimester body? If you’re like me, then you don’t. But if you’re more like Ashlee Wells Jackson, you recognize that motherhood, pregnancy, and breastfeeding change women’s bodies in real, beautiful, and necessary ways that shouldn’t be denied or hidden. Dang.
The 4th Trimester Bodies Project is an ongoing photo documentary created by a photographer and mother of three who wants to embrace the beauty in our changing bodies. As soon as I heard about it, I knew I wanted to invite you all to admire the many different mothers and try to talk you into participating.
Ashlee is based around Chicago with occasional tour stops photographing mothers and children. The end result will be a gallery show and a published book that we can all embrace.
