I have what is frequently called “one of each”. That is, my two children are two different genders. Sometimes I cannot suppress my desire to gift them matching outfits, but it’s not easy to source these things. Old Navy does not release the same print across all their sizes categories at the same time. Believe me, I have looked. So, searching for matching sibling outfits ends up being quite the challenge.
So here are a few strategies I’ve honed in on to pick coordinated outfits for kids.
Black and White Sibling Matching Outfits
There are so many adorable black and white clothes for kids these days. You can go twinsies, or simply stick to this color scheme to create some adorable kid matching outfits.

Denim
Jeans are classic, and I love the simple look of these kiddos, courtesy of H&M, with their coordinated, but not totally matching denim and plain tees. My kids are entirely anti-jeans, so let me know if you can pull it off. Moving on to knit cotton…
Primary

Best business idea ever! Primary.com sells solid-colored kids clothing. That’s it. No words, no mammals, no trucks, no bling. Create an outfit from hoodies, onesies, henleys, tanks, shorts, leggings, sweats. Pick a color to link your whole family together with age-appropriate styles.
Pajamas
Matching pajamas in a style similar to the one on my holiday card from 2011 can be achieved easily with stripes from Hanna Anderssen or Polarn O. Pyret (pictured above) but gosh are they pricey. If solid colors will suffice, start with the previously mentioned website, Primary. Other than that, it’s difficult to find matching pajamas at good prices across two different age groups.
PatPat.com has a whole category called matching outfits with more than 700 items in it. The selection is mostly pajamas. New customers get 15% off their first order.

OldNavy.com has a nice, wide age span for their sleepwear, from 6 months to 5T, so you can match your kids up with the same sets there. Since we’ve been camping a lot this year, I’m digging this print that is good for the whole gender spectrum.
Burt’s Bees has a line of pjs at Target.com, but the search function on the website is so frustrating you might just give up and buy chapstick or hand salve instead. I’ll try to link you right there, but no promises.
Or, try Etsy, as many of the sellers will be willing to do exactly what you need, whether it’s a different size or color. While these fox jammie bottoms (pair them with a plain white tee) come in sizes newborn to 5, the seller says she will do custom orders.
Do you coordinate your kids clothing? What did I miss?
