I saw this on my local parenting listserv (no further source available) and couldn’t resist typing it up.

Oh so very very true. You should add – if you are playing with it then it is mine, even if I hate that toy and never touch it.
If it sucks, it’s yours.
My 2 1/2 yr old “trades” my 1 yr old a container lid for whatever awesome toy he has.
My little guy always says “my’s! My’s!” instead of mine. So I find myself correcting his grammar instead of his behavior. “Honey, you actually mean ‘MINE!’” and then he’s like “Mine!” and I say “good boy!”
I read a funny article on parents.com today about the “good” things about this age. Turns out they’re not stubborn, just leaders in the making haha.

Holy accuracy, Batman!
Hilarious.
I’m reasonably confident my daughter wrote this. She can’t talk, but I know she figured out some way to do this. I’m scared of her over the next few years.
@ Deanna that is hillllllarious!
LOL! Too true. Except that last one. My toddler doesn’t want a broken toy until I pick it up. Then it is still hers.
This defines my 2 year old perfectly! Love it and shared it with my friends on facebook!
reallly, it is funny. If children want the something, they take all of them. They are very intelligence. and also children are very pretty:D
I am sure my grandchild will not only repeat what has been said but will also improve upon it. That is what children and grand-children are meant to be

If my daughter didn’t share it would be taken away from her and put in a secret place until I stumbled upon it in like a weeks time, having said that sharing has never been an issue for her, I don’t know if that’s been parenting or luck
