Activity #149: Make a felt food fiesta

A few sheets of felt, found at a fabric or craft store, can become a Make Your Own Pizza Kit for your own child or as a gift for someone else.

My favorite part of this activity, as emphasized by its author Jackie, in the post on her own site, is that sloppy cutting is completely appropriate.

No sewing involved, people! What else could we produce with some quick felt cutting besides pizza? Cupcakes with frosting & sprinkles? Tshirts with stripes and/or pockets?

Very cute! How old do your kids have to be in order for them to not eat the felt?

Cool idea.

T+T
Officially, kids should stop eating felt around age 3. Unofficially, you’ll know your own kid and it may be much sooner. Around 2, Milo stopped putting things in his mouth but we have a friend whose toddler daughter loves to mouth everything still. Dirt? Tiny Legos? yum and yum.
