Make your partner feel loved by using your baby’s chest as advertising space.
Put an “I love” message on a onesie or bib and take a picture of the baby wearing it. This baby is rocking the straightforward message to daddy. I myself prefer a more subtle tribute to my husband with a projection of his hobbies or interests on the kid. “I (heart) downloading music for free” or “I (heart) burritos”.
I’ve thought of a few ways of achieving this:
- Order the item on customglambaby.com or ILoveAnything.com
- Use iron-on paper in your computer printer and make your design in Word or Powerpoint
- Use a sharpie and your free-hand
- Buy iron-on lettering at a craft store
Fern and Baby Mack made this great onesie including a little homemade caricature of daddy. Well done!

I took this idea and decorated a onesie (with help from my 5 month old son, Mack) with permanent markers. When my husband got home I told him Mack had a surprise for him. The onesie said “I ‘heart’ Daddy” on it, complete with a cartoon of Daddy. I’m not artsie WHATSOEVER, but this was really easy.
I love your site! Keep it up.
Fern
Sure you can use his picture. Thanks for asking!
Um, will someone please tell my husband to make or buy an “I Love Mom” SOMETHING for my son to wear this month? I stood in the Gap one day and almost bought I heart Mom pj’s, but then I had a selfless moment and bought the I heart Dad ones. So I’m waiting for him to return the favor.
