When I was a kid, I was stuck staring at the wallpaper my parents chose for a guest room as my childhood bedroom. Boring and blech. Now that I’m the parent, I love wall decals for updating the personality of any room really fast. And it’s much easier (and cheaper) than painting.
This summer as my husband and I tried to designate a part of our family guest room and office as “nursery,” the movable stickers at My Wonderful Walls came to the rescue. There are some magical designs to choose from but when it came time to merge my command central for blogging and twitter with the new nest of a baby, I went for the easy motif and put a bird on it.
My big boys love this space theme, but I thought it was a little intense for an infant guest room office. In addition to the collection of wall stickers (clingy moveable decorations), there are also wall stencil kits (where you can paint your own wall mural without screwing it up).

My Wonderful Walls sent me two sets of the birdies so that I could vouch for the quality of the product and I give it a thumbs up. The little girl in me probably still wants a garden, forest, or castle. The tween in me did not find any Rob Lowe stickers.

Oh my, so many fun things to choose from! I would choose the bugs & blossoms wall sticker set, and I would use them when we move to our new house next summer to help my 2 year old rookie baby transition from baby room to little girl room. It’s cute and girly but NOT princessy, yay!
Those are amazing products! I’d choose the Dinosaur Wall Mural Sticker Kit to go in my son’s “Big Big Boy Room”. We had to really hype it up to get him on board with switching rooms with his baby brother and he choose a dinosaur theme!
I love these alternatives to painting! We would choose “Under the Sea” sticker kit to decorate our nursery. I’m due in January and we will be moving next month, so it would be great to be able to put a personal touch on our little one’s room without the headache of moving and painting. We’re not finding out the gender, so it would be perfect for a boy or girl!
I love the splendid garden! But the family tree and so many others are tempting
I would do the forest in my girls playroom. It’s already painted sky blue…but I was still trying to figure out how to decorate.
I’d choose the Wild Jungle Safari sticker kit. We live in a one bedroom apartment and would put this on the wall next to my 4 month old’s crib so he can have a rock star view of all the wonderful shapes, colors and animals! He especially loves elephants and giraffes!
Oh! I love decals! I would love the fairy one because it would complete my daughters fairy room. I think she might be old enough to not peel the decal off now.
Splendid garden is awesome!
Oak family tree is awesome!
I would choose the Oak Family Tree to match the oak tree in our new backyard and to illustrate our expanding family.
I would so love the Forest Friends Wall Stickers for my daughter’s bedroom!
So cute! I just love the Under the Sea theme! We just moved our youngest to his big boy bed and it is a surfer theme. He just loves the water, especially sea turtles so this would be perfect!
I love the fabric look of the stickers and so would pick either the Jungle Safari or the Splendid Garden set and would put them in my daughter’s bedroom. I might wait until we move next year but would love to paint her room with a color that complements the stickers.
I love these! I would pick the dinosaur wall mural stencil kit for my son’s room and paint it as a surprise for his 3rd birthday in January. He is a total dino fanatic and I know he would love these!
I would love the bugs & blossoms for my nursery!
Wow! Those wall decorations are fantastic! My son would go crazy for the Transportation Theme Wall stickers. How cute his room would be!
We are repainting the nursery for my new baby girl and her big sister and I would love to put of the Wild Jungle Safari decals. My oldest loves the zoo and she would adore having animals next to her crib and I wouldn’t have to worry about a picture frame falling on her!
I would choose the Significant Submarine canvas wall art for my Step-son. We moved and he ended up with a smaller room
. So we want to make sure it’s extra personalized for him. He’s in love with the ocean and we’re theming it to be quite perfect for a boy and his fish.
The Flower Garden Canvas Wall Art is AMAZING! I would hang it in my daughter’s room and then move in!!!
They are all so cute! I’d choose the Splendid Garden Wall Sticker Kit, although, if my 3 year old was given a choice she would soooo choose the Princess stickers. I’d love to update my younger daughter’s room to be a bit older, as she’s now 1 and not a newborn anymore! Great post.
I would choose the Forest Friends wall stickers for girls and put them in our 3-month old’s nursery. We live in an apartment and painting the walls is too much work, especially since we would have to paint them back when we move out. Wall stickers are the perfect solution. Plus, all of her bedding is bunny-themed.
I would probably choose Wild Jungle. My son just visited the San Diego Zoo and went nuts over the animals.
I would LOVE the transportation wall stickers to put above my son’s crib! We share a room with him, but I’d love for it to feel more like his own special nook, and these awesome stickers would certainly do the trick!
I love wall decals and have a set very similar to Forest Friends in my girls room right now. However, my toddler has learned that she can stand on her tiptoes and tear them off the wall when she is supposed to be napping. sigh. So, I would LOVE the Forest Friends stencils. A bit more work, but permanent sounds fantastic!
I love the bugs and blossoms wall art. It would really work well in our office/playroom area to designate the play side of things.
Would definitely go with the Splendid Garden Wall Sticker kit. Too perfect to dress up a little girls room when we move next year. A perfect way to make her new room fun!
I would choose Bugs and Blossoms Wall Sticker Kit. It is a very different theme for a little girl. Princesses and fairies are wonderful, but bugs and blossoms are a unique balance for the little girl who likes to be pretty, but also catch bugs. We have decals now, but are in need of an update.
Bugs and Bloosoms wall sticker kit. I would totally update my little girls gender neutral polka dot theme (wall decals) that we did while pregnant to something more her taste now (bugs, go figure).
I would choose the forest wall stickers (girls) for my 4 year old daughters room. These are so great.
My little guy LOVES anything that moves so I would pick the transportation wall sticker set. He would have so much fun with the different vehicles and all the bright colors!
I would have to get the Transportation Wall Stickers since I’ve got a housefull of little boys! Super cute!!!
I would definitely choose the space wall stickers. My son is in a toddler bed right now in the nursery and we are in the process of turning the guest bedroom into his ‘big boy’ bedroom. We already have a space themed comforter and we’re searching for more space accents. These wall stickers would be perfect!!
Daffodils! Perfect for moving my daughter into her new bedroom.
I’d put the Forest Friends stickers up in my kiddo’s room!
Bugs and Blossoms…my daughter’s room needs to be updated to get rid of the “baby” decals on there now.
I will have to share my office with my little guy, so I would love the wild jungle decals to set apart his “room” from mamma’s workspace. Plus, being a graphic designer, the colors and shapes will be an inspiration for my design work
Thanks for sharing!
I would love to decorate our nursery with the wild jungle safari themed decals. This is our fist kiddo and we think a fun room will help ignite his imagination. Such cool products!
My 4 years old is in the princess phase and I am trying to get her to share a room with her little sister. I would choose the Princess theme to decorate their bedroom.
I would get the Perfectly Princess Wall Sticker Kit. It would be for my daughters room. We have plans to redo her room so this would be an awesome start!
dinos, definitely!
I would love the Forest Friends Wall Sticker set – I would hang these in my daughters nursery; which is in desperate need of a little personality!
Dinos! I have two little boys who love dinosaurs. They share a room which is already painted with blue sky and rolling hills on all 4 walls with white clouds on the ceiling. These would look great in there!
Forest Friends would be great for the nursery.
I would choose the Forest Friends wall stickers. My daughter’s room is very wildlife-y and I love finding other things to add to her decor. I would personally choose the gender neutral Forest Stickers, as it would match better. Love those trees!
I’d pick the transportation set for my son’s room. He loves things with wheels!
Definitely the transportation set. My son has gone through a construction phase, a plane phase and now he’s obsessed with fire trucks and trains. He’d go nuts with this!
Love love love the space themed one! My kids are crazy about space these days!
I love the transportation facination set. My little boy loves trains, planes and automobiles!
The “Forest Friends Wall Sticker Kit” would be perfect for my 3 month old daughter Evia’s nursery. I have been planning on spicing up her white walls for a while and this would do the trick!
I would pick the Oak Family Tree sticker and put it in our living room. What a great way to show off family photos!
