We’re giving away four pairs of sneaks, sponsored by Sears

My go-to fancy outfit for little boys who don’t need to own dress shoes is a pair of clean Chuck Taylors with khaki pants and a dress shirt. This summer, we had a wedding to attend, and I bought Julian a pair of slip-on Chuck Taylors for the occasion. I didn’t let him wear them until the event, so they were sparkly and crisp that day, and then they became his everyday shoes for the rest of the summer. If I’m in charge — and so far, I am — he will probably grow up without owning a pair of leather shoes until he goes to a job interview.

So, when I was contacted about Converse shoes at Sears.com last week, I said, “Heck yeah, you guys can sponsor a giveaway!” I personally love Converse on kids and adults, including moms. And on toddlers? The cutest! Right?

If you’ve got time for video, here’s a tour of the product line available at Sears.

I asked my contact on the Sears team if I could let our giveaway winner select up to four pairs of shoes to outfit her family. (Sorry, larger families!) Here’s what I’d pick, but you can make different selections:

For myself, as much as I am drawn to all the colors of the low-tops, I’m tempted by the cozy boots. Today I’m wearing a grey tunic over black leggings with boots exactly the same height as these, but not nearly as comfy looking.

For my husband, who already has black Chucks, I’d go for the stripeys.

For Julian, age 7, I’m digging the mid-profile shoe in olive green.

For Scarlett, age 4, I can’t decide between going all the way with this red gingham or the navy version that just features the gingham on the tongue. Her birthday is on the 4th of July, so she is partial to the patriotic look. I think the gingham will be cute with shorts during the summer.

Okay, here’s your chance to win. Just share a brief description of the outfit you’d pair with a new set of Converse sneakers for yourself. On Wednesday, January 25, 2012, I will select a winner at random to receive four pairs of Converse from Sears.com. Giveaway rules here.

Thanks to Sears for sponsoring this post — and thanks to my mom for not saying anything much when I wore pink Converse high-tops with a white sundress to my high school graduation ceremony.

The best chucks outfit is pink ankle chucks and a good summer dress. Luckily it’s been so warm this winter in texas we could bust that outfit out now!!

Back in the day, I had a long denim skirt that I’d pair with a hip-length long-sleeve tee and my pink high-top converse (I just realized I have no idea what ever happened to them!). I’d like to wear that again, but with a toddler I think it may just be jeans, lol. However, I’d totally buy a new shirt for the occasion ;)

skinny jeans, long shirt, scarf, sweater and those chuck boots. Those are cute.

I would wear dark fitted jeans, and my black t shirt that has a bunny on the front and on the back it says every bunny needs some bunny.

Back in the day I had a rainbow of Chuck Taylors. These days I’d travel a more subdued route and pair some gray Chucks with jeans and a cozy sweater.

black leggings, pink baggy sweater, and a ponytail.

I’d love a beautiful new sundress with a cardigan and a pair of matching low-tops for the spring! :-)

Chucks go with everything! I would wear a brand new pair of black low tops with dark denim jeans (cuffed), a white v-neck tee, bright red lipstick and sparkly earrings.

I’m all about comfort, so black yoga pants and a baggy sweater would be my ideal!

A pair of blue ones to go with my wedding dress when my fiancĂ© and I get married this fall–he and our son will have matching ones :)

I’d team them with my navy maxi dress and a blue & white striped t-shirt. And a 30-week pregnancy bump!

all toddlers should start out with a comfortable and stylish pair of converse

Skinny jeans and a slim, but flowing, button down shirt.

Well,
since the warmer seasons are almost here, i would wear the new pair of chucks with a pair of dark blue jean shorts and a tank top with a light shirt over it. I would top the outfit off with some accessories {i.e bangles, hoops, sunglasses, anklet, and a necklace} .
Thank you :)

I’d like a classic Oxford style but in a fun color so I can wear them with lots of outfits. My go to is skinny jeans and layered shirts

leslie January 26, 2012 at 10:08 am

I would wear the ones you picked out for your husband with a black tee and jeans. :)
