Today is the day to dig way into your closet and pull out something that doesn’t get enough love. Aren’t you pretty much guaranteed that others will be dressed in more eye-catching outfits than yours?
My son will be dressed as Santa Claus, so I will be an elf. The hat is the key to this outfit, so I’ve got a lot of freedom with my choices from the neck down. I will be wearing a red dress, a green scarf, green knee highs and purple pointy-toed shoes.
Oh, and I allowed the woman at the nail salon to do this to me.
So, what’s your plan? If not a costume, do you have a sweater that’s just a little too orange? A skirt that’s a little too weird? What is stored in your dresser that you have been avoiding? Pull it out and, as Tim Gunn would say, make it work.

Your nails look awesome! I did a Christmas theme once at the salon with snowflakes which looked really awesome (wish I would have taken a picture).
I’m dressing my newborn as a a cute little chef costume from AnnaBean. And I’m coordinating with my usual apron and a chef hat I bought for today!
I am proud to say I am wearing white-and-black striped tights today, like the witch my middle-school students think I am. This may not seem like a big deal given my career, but I am about to head out to an eye appointment, and I refuse to take the time to change my clothes for that! So proud I’ve done the activity without even knowing!
i drew on my face and my husbands face to complete our family halloween ensamble! our son was the football player and our baby girl the cheerleader. so naturally my husband and myself were the outstanding fans in the cheapseats!! i just had to complete the look with the all to familiar face painting!
