“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry, my baby just called you” — don’t you wish you had that excuse when you were in college drunk dialing your ex-boyfriend?! Or, like me, if you got caught in grade school for ordering a prank pizza to a cute classmate… well, now you do!
You know it’s going to happen sooner or later anyway, so give your baby a thrill and hand over the phone. Just make sure she doesn’t press 9.1.1. and you’re all good.
To get the phone away from baby, you may need to be ready to trade for the remote.

The slight variation to this idea is that when I’m on one phone, I hand Holden the other phone… this way, he can push as many buttons as he likes without dialling anyone. The miracle of cordless!
