You have a special super power in the first months of your baby’s life. Maybe this falls into the very large bucket of “nobody ever told me this was going to happen.” Your boobs might get all tingly for no apparent reason. For me, it could be triggered by
- hearing any baby cry
- having any emotion at all (sadness, confusion, joy, whatever)
- reading a menu and seeing hot chocolate was listed
So, my tip is that if you start to get a funny feeling in your chest when you read a menu, you are probably biologically programmed to neeeeed that very food. Order that hot cocoa (or whatever your boobs want) and enjoy!

I can relate! Tingly boobs happen everytime my husband picks Nolan up????
Reading your list made mine tingle!!
it happens to me when i’m relaxed & thinking about my son – not only do my boobs tingle – i turn into a fountain of milk!
oh, and ditto with the hot chocolate addiction. i mix it with my coffee in the morning – together with caffeine, i can take on the world! – or at least a large pile of laundry.
Thanks for this chuckle. It can be a bit surprising what sets off the girls/boobs at times. I’m still so in love with my SuperMom abilities!
I would add that if you are talking to your boss, and a child cries down the hall, and you feel the tingle, don’t trust the nursing pads, padded bra, four layers of clothing, or crossed arms to prevent your rack-tall boss from being faced with your drenched top half.
Not that I’d know anything about that, just sayin’…
