Tech Tuesday: Free app for preschoolers

You guys, this app is really cute — and it’s free!

endless-alphabet

Endless Alphabet teaches letters, and for those who already know them, introduces words. The animations are filled with charming monsters (not scary at all!) and quirky sounds. I like the artwork which will appeal to both genders.

I cannot vouch for the efficacy of the method by which spelling is taught. (Anything that comes out of LeapFrog, for example, is rigorously designed for real learning, while plenty of folks just like to put out games with A, B, Cs embedded in them, based on no educational research.) But I don’t think it can hurt.

Enjoy! (You can click here for the iTunes page or just search for Endless Alphabet in the app store on your device.)
