On the way home from the hospital, we went to Target and within the first month of her life, my daughter went to to the zoo, the beach, on a family vacation, and to a Kid Rock Concert (it was an outdoor concert). I pretty much believed that if I stayed home I would go crazy…so we went somewhere everyday. When I had my second…we stayed near home more, but we were and are still out and about all the time.

My brother owns a tequilla bar. So when Knight was about 3 or 4 months old, he bellied up to the bar for the first time. He won’t be indulging in the more grown-up libations for some time, but he seemed quite at home. Maybe that should be cause for concern.

Took my 16 month old along with me as I rode in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 7 day, 545 mile bike ride from SF to LA. My mom and stepmom drove her along the route and she waved at me (and the other riders, she was pretty popular) as I rode by and up hills. Between spending most of her days in a carseat or stroller, and sleeping in a different hotel room each night, she was a trooper. She even decided she no longer wanted to nurse! (we were down to once at bedtime).

Took my one-week-old with us strawberry picking a few years ago, and this year I picked berries 8 mos. pregnant, and we’ll move into my in-laws’ this weekend (35 weeks). Yep, I’m crazy!

I was with my 2 month old and a friend when she decided to get her nose re-pierced at a tattoo parlor/art gallery.
It was half an art gallery right? (oil paintings of all the tattoos they did)
Yes it was super creepy with big pictures of skulls and flaming demons, metal music at a medium volume and lots of blacklights.
I just felt like a real winner with my baby looking around with her big eyes in her carseat, she didn’t seem to care-just about her bottle.
Too funny!

My family lives out of state so we met in Vegas! My husband and I with our 8 mth old with Grandma and Grandpa. We had a blast! It was so easy and fun getting around… The monorail works well with strollers! We hardly spent time in smokey casinos. Instead we checked out the family/ tourist stops, ate at amazing restaurants and shopped! I am not an expert, but let me know if anyone needs Las Vegas recommendations with an infant!

My husband and I took our 9 day old son to a wedding over 3 hours away. And I had had a c-section. Within his first 2 weeks of life we also went to two graduations. We wanted to be at these events for our friend and family members so we made it work.

We’ve taken the baby almost everywhere she’s even been on an airplane too, yeah I totally agree with Vicky, a baby should be no reason to go into exile, on the contrary they are the best reason to live a more active and happy life so they learn to be social and flexible.
