Stow your stroller

by Whitney on April 2, 2009

in Month 12

Outside of the side door of my house lives an attractive collection of strollers and their cousin, the red wagon. I am using the word “attractive” sarcastically. There’s the single stroller, the jogger, the double. And I’m not the one who is the stroller whore.

It really reminds me that my family is living not-a-completely-urban lifestyle. Sure we have a cafe, produce market, and wine shop two blocks away. We walk to preschool and the park when the weather is nice. But we also have our own driveway and a backyard. This allows us to park unlimited wheels in and around our garage.

What if I had stayed in NYC where I went to college? Well – let’s not go there right now because I will be rambling for a long long time – but let’s assume I would not own so many strollers. And the one I did have would be either cluttering my front hall or hanging outside my apartment door, reminding my neighbors that the whining and crying they hear from 5 to 7 pm every evening is indeed coming from #7A.

Do you need to get a stroller out of the way? We’re giving away the StrollAway pictured above (courtesy of MetroTots) and hang it up high.

COMMENTS ARE CLOSED FOR THIS GIVEAWAY. WE’LL DRAW A WINNER BEFORE MONDAY.

I would be storing my Chicco Cortina.

Right now I’d be storing my Graco Ipo, which doesn’t take that much space up and works for my 15-month-old. In a month, upon the arrival of her baby brother, I dream and hope to be storing a Phil and Ted’s Sport!

I’m not sure if I’d be more inclined to hang up my Zooper Waltz (I LOVE it — I use it the most, despite having 3 kids under 4) or my Combi Twin Savvy….then of course, I also have stroller lust for a good double jogger, so hey, maybe I’ll win one of those one day ;)

Let’s see… the Maclaren? The Graco Quattro? my P&T w/doubles kit? Or that “new” cheap double I got for $7.50 at a consignment sale? Probably the Maclaren, since we use it almost daily (the P&T is in the car, the other double going to grandma’s. And the graco quattro lives in the garage. Rather use the maclaren for lite trips to the park.)

What a great idea!

Awesome product! We’d be storing a Chicco Cortina.

I would store our Maclaren triumph. While it doesn’t take up a lot of roomit would be great to get it out of the way.

I’d be storing my MacLaren stroller. Not sure of the model, it’s out in the shed because we don’t have room for it in the house. It’s an older heavy model. I’ll be using it soon this summer with my youngest child

Hmmm.. too many to choose from… I’d probably end up using it to store the graco stroller for the new little guy who’s on the way.

Erin April 7, 2009 at 6:51 am

which stroller…the umbrella stroller we got at our first’s baby shower b/c it came free with someone’s gift, or the other umbrella stroller we got for the same reason, or maybe it’s our ginormous and bulky double stroller (that i love b/c it was a free hand me down, but hate for every other reason!), or maybe the regular one kid stroller that we can use with 2 under 2! in any case, i’d love this hanger b/c my garage is getting out of control!

My Burley jogger! I usually have to disassemble and keep it in the trunk so that my little guy will keep his paws off the dirty tires.

I would be storing my son’s Graco stroller. This would be a great space saver since we’re trying to have another baby.

Paige April 7, 2009 at 7:51 am

I would store our garage sale bought jogging stroller. I couldn’t tell you what brand it is.

Gina Stratos April 7, 2009 at 10:49 am

I will be stowing a double jogging stroller, instep. woot what a great idea!

Christy April 7, 2009 at 7:43 pm

I would alternate between my sit and stand stroller and my single combi stroller depending on which one is in the car and which one is in the garage. Much needed.

Amelia April 7, 2009 at 8:10 pm

This looks so awesome! I really need to get my Maclaren Volo off the floor so it stops sliding down the wall and taking up our precious diaper bag space.

K. Smith April 7, 2009 at 8:34 pm

We have the Graco Laura Ashley stroller. We need all the room we can get…we are packed like sardines!

robert April 7, 2009 at 8:34 pm

We own a Graco Stroller. Would love to win this so that we can have extra room!

Jamie Tompkins April 7, 2009 at 8:35 pm

I would love to win this for my granddaughter Ella. Her stroller is so large and bulky, I believe its a Graco model…that thing takes up their whole house!.

Brooke April 8, 2009 at 7:30 am

I’d store my umbrella stroller. We’re finally down to the umbrella and I know we’ll need to store it for the next few years. Please pick me. We live in a small apartment and this would really help!

Audrey April 8, 2009 at 7:46 am

Graco Metrolite

Kaycee April 8, 2009 at 11:58 am

My Graco takes up so much space! We are tight for space in our home and this would be great!

I’d store our Phil & Teds. Love the stroller, hate tripping over it.

lace April 8, 2009 at 3:11 pm

I’ll be storing the dazzle or the chicco. One should be in the car the other in the house but right now they are both in the house taking up space.

Amber Sunshine April 8, 2009 at 3:19 pm

Cool! I’d be storing my City Jogger Single. Thanks!

Janne April 8, 2009 at 7:53 pm

I’d be storing the Peg Perego Pliko Lite. Thanks for the opportunity!
