Sports + Wii = Fun (and you can win!)

We were already fans of the Wii for new parents long before we heard of Wii Fit. But now, geeking out with video games and trying to be fit shredheads with Jillian are two great tastes that taste great together. Thanks to Sports Authority, we’re giving away one Wii Fit Plus Board and Jillian Michaels’ new fitness game.

Sports Authority is opening up a new Wii Fit area of their store, called the Wii Fit Plus experience, where you can go and try out some of the games. Moms having more fun? We couldn’t agree more!

If you’re anywhere near the Sports Authority in Torrance, CA on Thursday morning, Jillian Michaels will be there in person whipping folks into shape and giving away video games. The event starts at 9:30 a.m. and runs all morning.

I find me time by telling my hubby to watch kids 1 hour a day, while I work out

My husband bathes the kids and gets them ready for bed while I clean the kitchen, fold laundry, and catch up on other chores. For truly indulgent me time, we hire a babysitter. Of course, sometimes the stars align and I have the benefit of concurrent naps times. That’s the best:)

When I became a parent, the way I found “me” time was to go to the YMCA. They had 2 hours of free child watch so I was able to exercise for an hour then shower and get dressed at the gym. Not only did it give me some “me” time but I also got the benefit of establishing a habit of exercising at the gym regularly!

Now that my daughter is a teen I can have me time. Shhe wants to do her own things with music and computers.

Me time? What’s that? I can’t think of the last time I really had any me time. I guess it would have to be shopping on Black Friday!
