The general rule for overnight parking at meters is that you’d better be gone by the time the morning parking rule applies. In the downtown core, the “parking police” are out in full force to enforce morning rush hour traffic rules, so on a weeknight, I definitely wouldn’t risk parking overnight unless you plan to get up early to move your car.

When it comes to parking lots – you’d have to check the signs – some lots allow overnight parking, some don’t. I’d check the signs… but to be on the safe side, you might want to just go with the hotel parking! Saving a couple of bucks on parking versus waking up to find your car ticketed/towed…

Hi Heather, you mention parking is free on weekend and evenings after 5.30, but can we park overnight? I’m staying at Mariott and wanna save my money
