So nixce to hear that you had a good time in my town Copenhagen - it's truly a baby friendly city - I love walking around with my 5 month old - and I'm in the middle of writing a guide to having a baby with you in Copenhagen so it's so nice to see your tip :)

If you come back during the summer you should check out the new beach - brilliant for kids with real sand (imported)

Thanks, found this post after looking for good holidays for toddlers and someone suggested Copenhagen. Sounds fab. My husband and I used to love going on city breaks before we had our son so we might give this a go!

Heather,
I had to laugh that a websearch on Chilimili Copenhagen turned up your website on page 3 results. Weather's great now if you want to come back!

Thanks for this. I have lived in CPH for over 2 years and only recently became a mum (7 months ago). I knew of most of these places but didn't know about the kids' stuff so can't wait to do them when Noah is a bit older. Hope you come back to the city in the summer, it is fantastic then. Swimming/paddling on Amager Strand would be a must with kids.
Off to look at the rest of your blog now. Check mine out if you want.

What a fun trip! Thanks for the writeup of Copenhagen through parents' eyes! We did a Scandinavian bike trip as a last hurrah before having kids and enjoyed a lot there and promised ourselves to come back with offspring in tow-- we were also stunned at how family-friendly everything was and took home a brochure about the state-run amazing childcare programs. Our June weather was a lot friendlier than what you faced and we got to cover a lot of ground on our bikes.
Lovely attractions to check out next time: Botanical Gardens, the Danish Design Center (near the art gallery where you went), fairy-tale loving kids might like to see the statue of the Little Mermaid (right next to the castle), the Freedom Museum (covering WWII-- surprisingly kid-friendly & very interesting). There's so much to see!
And I laughed out loud at your write-up of the swim palace--we took our toddler to a German one last summer that sounds very similar and we were wondering where we went wrong in the US not to have such things readily available. Amazing!
I don't remember much about our food in Copenhagen except getting to eat outside late because the light was so amazing.
