My husband and I have logged thousands of miles traveling with babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Not so many that I can remember to get frequent flyer accounts for the kids, but enough that I know that the right packing strategy can make all the difference. With preschoolers on up, iPhones are the third parent. Toddlers and babies require a little more ummm creativity with snacks, games, small toys to compensate for their lack of skills in Plants Vs. Zombies.
I love this prize package from BRICA stuffed with innovative products to simplify traveling with babies and toddlers. Love. I want these things and then I want plane tickets. Anywhere awesome. First, let me tell you about the goodies (value about $140).
- Roll ‘n Go Car Seat Transporter (a brand new product, available exclusively at Babies R Us as of 3/1/12 or pre-order on amazon) OMG, I wish I had this. It turns your child’s car seat into an airport stroller. This is a new product and this is what the BRICA folks say about it: The universal attachment method quickly and securely attaches virtually all convertible and forward facing car seats, and the Safe-Sit angle design keeps the seat stable to prevent roll-away or tip-over when occupied. The unique auto-deploy wheels fold in and the telescoping handle folds down flat for compact storage in overhead bins and in hall closets. High quality materials such as aircraft grade aluminum (meaning lightweight!), reinforced nylon and premium in-line skate wheels ensure a smooth ride for child and an easy stroll for parents.
- Protect ‘n Go Infant Comfort Canopy: Blocks rain, wind, sun, and the prying eyes and fingers of fellow travelers in a crowded airport or anywhere. The Canopy fits all major brands of infant car seats and does not interfere with the car seat carrier’s handle. The Canopy comes with its own carrying case for easy travel (available on amazon).
- Deluxe Snack Pod: Keeps little kid snacks and drinks within reach. The clever attachment mechanism easily connects to almost any shape tube, rail or seat so you can put it on your stroller, car seat, or a grocery cart (available on amazon).
- 2-in-1 Travel Tote: This handy tote has interior pockets to keep pacifiers and toys inside a durable waterproof exterior; it has many clips and pouches to keep you organized and folds up small. With a baby on my lap, it is not so easy to grab the stuff stowed under the seat in front of me, know what I mean? I haven’t tried it yet but I’m very interested (also available on amazon).

Thanks so much to BRICA for sponsoring this giveaway for our readers. We really liked the first year essentials you gave our twin mama last year!

My husband and I dream of taking our children back to Costa Rica to zipline, one of our favorite trips pre-baby!
My husband and I daydream of taking our toddler to the island of Dominica… where he and I spent the first two years of our marriage!
I’d love to take our daughter out to the west coast to have some fun in the sun (and to visit her aunt!)
My husband I honeymooned in Italy and we dream of taking our daughter there some day.
We love taking trips, we now have a 2 1/2 month old. So far she has flown from Texas to Pennsylvania (just me and her) and we just got back from a road trip, Dallas to San Antonio. We would love to go to Ireland when she is a little older.
We dream of taking our little guy to visit his grandparents in Houston, but the thought of the 4 hour flight is just too daunting for us. Maybe in a few more years. For now, we make the grandparents visit us.
My dream trip would be taking the kids to Hawaii (or another nice warm island) for a week. Warm sand, warm water, yummy fruit… who wouldn’t enjoy it?
My practical trip would just be a short flight from San Francisco to San Diego to stay with family for a week.
My dream trip right now would have to be a Disney cruise!
I really want to be able to go on a cruise with the husband and I have heard that Disney is a lot more kid/family friendly. Plus they have a nursery for my little little ones which would be nice to get to take a break here and there.
I dream of taking my little guy to Mexico. Sunshine, beautiful beaches, yummy food!
My dream trip would be to take my daughter to the ocean. Right now she is completely in awe of anything ocean-related, particularly sharks. I think it would totally blow her mind to see the ocean in real life, and not on a discovery channel documentary.
Mu husband and I are dying to take our one year old twins to our favorite city of Barcelona. Twins are twice the work but twice the reward and we’d love to bring them to a place that means so much to us.
I would love to take our kids to Disneyworld. I know it is cliche – but I would love to see the look on my daughter’s face when she saw the princesses she loves
London! My little girl is soooo in awe of princesses. She’d just go crazy to know there are real princes and princesses from there! So there’s that and it’s an awesome fun place to visit.
Having made 4 trips cross-country with our son before he was 9 months old (2 weddings, one Thanksgiving, one winter vacation), I dream of leaving him at home with some grandparents and going to Hawaii with my husband! Ha. In reality, I know it’s going to be a long time before we can afford that, and that we DO have another cross-country trip planned in July for my parents’ 50th anniversary. I dream of him magically occupying himself on the plane for 6 hours. As a 15-month old. Yeah.
I’d love to go on a cruise and dock somewhere sunny and sandy for a few days. To be honest though, location doesn’t so much matter so long as I feel as relaxed as the lady in the picture looks.
Would love to take our 22 month old daughter to Italy and Sicily to visit with all of her family there (and so we can eat, drink, soak up the sun on the Amalfi coast, visit Etna, spend time with family, etc.) Wish the plane tickets came with the package, lol.
Hawaii, Moloki. And we are hoping to head there next winter. We need these goodies!
I would love to be able to travel with my baby, my fiance and I used to lead student trips all over the world and taking our baby would make it that much more special!
There are so many places we’d love to take our daughter. One of the ones I’m excited about is going to Asia. I think it’d be an amazing experience for her (and us!).
The Great Wall in China. Throw the 18 month old in a backpack, and ‘encourage’ the older two (4 and 6) to walk. Exposure to new cultures and customs for everyone!
Oh please please please pick me! We have our first plane/hotel trip with our 1 year old in a month and I’d love to use these things. For future trips we’d love to take her to Vancouver.
Our dream is to take our 16 month old to England so she can meet her 91 year old great-grandpa. She will sleep on the plane, we will sleep on the plane, and we will all arrive happy and refreshed without one temper tantrum in sight (unfortunately, reality will likely be far, far from this fantasy, but those goodies would definitely help!).
Our baby is 16 months old and we’ve just flown a few times when he was younger. I have no idea how he would do now!! I’m kind of scared of our trip this summer. I want to take him to the beach again to see how he would do now that he’s ALMOST walking!
We would live to take our children to New Zealand. It is the easiest place I have ever traveled and the scenery is amazing. The family-friendly facilities are amazing.
We were lucky enough to be invited to Maui about a month ago. Couldn’t tell you too much about it, my 15 month old little boy was sick the entire time. I can however tell you about the local urgent care and the Maui hospital
Anyway, would love to be able to go back again but without any sickness
We would like to go visit abuela in Miami. My little one loved the beach, last time we were there. I could use a little beach time now too.
I would love to be able to travel home to visit my family in Alaska. My husband and I live in Missouri and most of my family hasn’t met my son yet.
Our dream vacation would be anywhere with water! Our daughter loves water. My husband and I have not gone on a trip since we got married in 2008, so I think we are over due!! We have not even gone on a honeymoon!
I would love to take the kids (and hubby) to Germany. I just love it there and I would love to show the kids our heritage and let them meet family members that are still there.
My travel dream is more about the journey than the location. Travel by train with deluxe sleeper car, or cruise ship is my fantasy. If I had to travel by plane it would be a private jet. Anything really that allows for walking around and not disturbing others. My son is 23 months and the journey has always been the worst.
Is it cliche to say I want to take my daughter to Disneyland? I LOVE visiting and am literally counting the days (well years) until I can take her and have her enjoy all the fun I always have.
Italy is by far our favorite country in the world. We’d love to go back there with our daughter and introduce her to the people, sights, culture and of course, food. I’d take a million pictures of her chubby cheeks covered in pasta sauce and gelato!
My sister-in-law recently moved to Germany with her family. We are dying to go visit them, but dread taking a 3 year old on the long plane ride!
anywhere warm and sunny to get out of this cold, snowy weather!!!!
We hope to make it out to Europe with the kiddo at some point.
We’re yet to hit the skies with our little one, but I would love to take her to DisneyWorld, yeah I know, not original, but I want to see her face light up!
I’d love to take our 4 year old son to Aulani, the Disney resort in Hawaii. We have never been to Hawaii and it looks like a great trip for all!
I really want to take my family to Maui. We love the Fairmont. Swimming, relaxing, and great food.
I found this page because I was looking for tips on our int’l trip this summer with out 4 & 2 year old (and I’ll be 6 months pregnant with the third!). We are going back to Nicaragua and for now, it is our dream trip.
(Oh, and I liked Bricca on FB too.)
I would love to take both kids to Chile so the family down there can meet the youngest in person. Of course the thought of 24 hours of travel with a 1yr old and a 6 yr old makes that not quite as appealing!
Well at 11 months she has been to Hawaii and flown to see relatives for Christmas so I def can see how wonderful this prize package would be!! My husband and I traveled to about 18 different countries in our marriage and plan on bringing our kids on world travels too. I look forward to taking her to Italy someday and letting her eat all the pasta and gelato she wants and letting her swim at the beach where my husband’s grandmother was from!
All inclusive island resort with stuff for little guys!!!!
And kudos to BRICA for their super creative and useful looking designs! I’ve been eyeing their wipes pod bec it looks like I could clip it on the ergo…anyone done that?
I would love to just go out of town with my little family and do a little history vacation.
Even though my husband and I have traveled all over the world, our dream trip(s) would be to go back to east to see my family with the baby as much as possible. We believe that family is so important and because my family is back in Boston (we are in Colorado) we would love to travel as much as we can back east to make sure our little one knows their grandparents and Aunt and Uncle as much as possible!
We are going to Hawaii with my family in June and this would be perfect! I just found out I’m pregnant again so having this to haul our then 8 month old would be ideal!
I would love to take our kids to Florida this spring. While this doesn’t seem like a dream vacation, we have NEVER taken our kids on vacation – it’s time!!! Having these items would take quite a bit of worry out of my mind. I could focus on the kids more and less on the “stuff”. And if this goes well, I could see us going to Ireland someday!!!
My husband and I dream of taking our son (2) to New Zealand. We have dreamed of it ever since we spent 5 glorious weeks there several years ago. We kept talking about how someday when we have kids we could bring them back to experience the amazing country!
I would love to take our two boys back to Disney World. It is so great to live the magic through their eyes! Thank you for helping us traveling parents out!!
We are taking our little peanut to Hawaii this summer to meet her great-grandparents. She’ll be 8mo old, and I just hope we can survive the flight! I’m excited for her to meet them and see everything I saw as a child, even if she won’t remember.
We are going to Puerto Rico this summer with our toddler! So excited, but very nervous about traveling with him for the first time on a plane.
