My husband and I have logged thousands of miles traveling with babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Not so many that I can remember to get frequent flyer accounts for the kids, but enough that I know that the right packing strategy can make all the difference. With preschoolers on up, iPhones are the third parent. Toddlers and babies require a little more ummm creativity with snacks, games, small toys to compensate for their lack of skills in Plants Vs. Zombies.
I love this prize package from BRICA stuffed with innovative products to simplify traveling with babies and toddlers. Love. I want these things and then I want plane tickets. Anywhere awesome. First, let me tell you about the goodies (value about $140).
- Roll ‘n Go Car Seat Transporter (a brand new product, available exclusively at Babies R Us as of 3/1/12 or pre-order on amazon) OMG, I wish I had this. It turns your child’s car seat into an airport stroller. This is a new product and this is what the BRICA folks say about it: The universal attachment method quickly and securely attaches virtually all convertible and forward facing car seats, and the Safe-Sit angle design keeps the seat stable to prevent roll-away or tip-over when occupied. The unique auto-deploy wheels fold in and the telescoping handle folds down flat for compact storage in overhead bins and in hall closets. High quality materials such as aircraft grade aluminum (meaning lightweight!), reinforced nylon and premium in-line skate wheels ensure a smooth ride for child and an easy stroll for parents.
- Protect ‘n Go Infant Comfort Canopy: Blocks rain, wind, sun, and the prying eyes and fingers of fellow travelers in a crowded airport or anywhere. The Canopy fits all major brands of infant car seats and does not interfere with the car seat carrier’s handle. The Canopy comes with its own carrying case for easy travel (available on amazon).
- Deluxe Snack Pod: Keeps little kid snacks and drinks within reach. The clever attachment mechanism easily connects to almost any shape tube, rail or seat so you can put it on your stroller, car seat, or a grocery cart (available on amazon).
- 2-in-1 Travel Tote: This handy tote has interior pockets to keep pacifiers and toys inside a durable waterproof exterior; it has many clips and pouches to keep you organized and folds up small. With a baby on my lap, it is not so easy to grab the stuff stowed under the seat in front of me, know what I mean? I haven’t tried it yet but I’m very interested (also available on amazon).

I’ll be taking the little one from California to Houston to meet my family when she’s about 8 weeks old!
Though I’ve never had much of a taste for Disney myself, I know the kids would go bananas at that Disney Hawaii place (Aulanii?), but pretty much any place with a bit of good childcare that would be conducive to dining alone with my husband would be golden. This is how simple my desires have become.
I would love to take my kids to Disney’s Carsland that is opening this summer in California!
We would love to take our two little boys to Wisconsin to spend a few weeks at my husband’s grandparent’s cottage on a lake. He spent many summers up there as a child and it’s his dream to take our children there as well.

I would love to take my three year old and newborn to visit their grandparents in Florida!
