A new babywearing device comes onto the scene every day and you can only determine if one works for you and your baby by trying it out. Enter to win the Scootababy and find out if it’s the one for you. Scootababy retails for $119.00.

scootababyThe mom who invented Scootababy says:

Slings, pouches, frontpacks, backpacks, mei tais, wraps… I’ve tried and appreciated them all! But none of these carriers did what I wanted most – to carry my baby in the most natural position (straddling the hip), in comfort, convenience, and style. I didn’t want to fuss with anything that needed a lot of adjusting to put on and readjusting to get baby in or out. Comfort was also key – I needed something that would distribute my baby’s weight over more than just the shoulders (this became even more important as my baby got older and heavier).

scootababyNow we’ve got one to give away to a randomly selected reader who comments on this post. Just tell us one thing you would do while wearing your child in the Scootababy.

Comment before Sunday, November 16, 2008. Winner will be selected on Monday, November 17th and have 7 days to reply before a new winner is selected.

I would love to win this for a friend of mine who is having a baby in May…it would be amazing!

Lauren S November 13, 2008 at 8:15 pm

While using this carrier, I would be able to wear my baby while helping my older child. My baby wants to be involved, but if I have him on my front or back, he isn’t always in the best position to see what his brother is doing. I’ve yet to find a great side carrier.

Maura R. November 13, 2008 at 8:18 pm

I currently use the Ergo in the side position to go grocery shopping, but this looks way more comfortable. My son loves to be close to me while I describe all the items we’re buying. The Scootababy looks like it would work great!

Judith November 13, 2008 at 8:28 pm

Holy comments batman! Look at all the posts!

And…
I would go to the botanical garden.

Jennifer Jozwiak November 13, 2008 at 9:56 pm

Probably book shopping or doing laundry.

nonlineargirl November 13, 2008 at 10:13 pm

I love the idea of the hip-wearing carrier. Cool! It would help with grocery shopping with a clingy kid.

abi November 13, 2008 at 10:15 pm

I would love to win this~ I’m hooked on my mei tais, but they take sooo long to put on!

Tori November 13, 2008 at 10:57 pm

Yeah for an easy hip carrier. With my oldest I used a ring sling in a hip carry and we did everything from laundry to shopping and trick or treating in it. This would be so much nicer!

Gena Alimi King November 14, 2008 at 2:00 am

i would love to try one of these…..

bouncy czech November 14, 2008 at 2:28 am

Grocery shopping, laundry, so many possibilities! Can’t wait to win it :)

tina November 14, 2008 at 2:30 am

wow where to begin! i have twin babies & a 3yr old. the twins always seem to want to be held at the same time so this would make holding them both a lot safer. i could also muck out(horses & the dog) alot easier with one of these. boy if i had one of these i would probley ware it all day with my mini tribe. lol!

callmeabookworm November 14, 2008 at 7:04 am

Oh I’d definitely use it when out grocery shopping. My toddler’s just too fast for me to run after him these days and too heavy to just carry over my hip. He hates sitting in the cart, so this looks like the heaven-sent solution I was looking for. Thanks!

Adriana November 14, 2008 at 7:35 am

I so need one of those! I have a pouch sling but my 16 months old daughter is becoming heavy and this seems to distribute the weight better!

Sheila November 14, 2008 at 8:02 am

I’d be better able to attend to my toddlers while carrying baby in the Scootababy. The Scootababy would leave me hands free so I could hold my toddlers hands comfortably !

ANGELA KOHLER November 14, 2008 at 8:38 am

I would shop!

Julie November 14, 2008 at 9:10 am

I’d take my 13 month old for walks and hikes at nearby parks!

Donna November 14, 2008 at 9:18 am

It looks like a great product. I think it really would work for my 21 pound 9 month old. Thanks. Donna

Jennifer P November 14, 2008 at 9:39 am

I would use it to carry around my newborn while chasing my toddler around the park.

Candace Prosser November 14, 2008 at 9:41 am

Wow, It’s the best of both worlds, sling, hip carrier, lots of support.

We are expecting our fourth and I have a very attatched child that will be two one week after the wee man’s due date in Jan. We are planning on moving from Annapolis Md back home to Dallas Tx area in mid febuary, yes that’s right with a two year old nad a one month old, not to mention my nine and six year olds. We are going to use PODS and fly….boy would this come in handy with packing and travel.

Valerie Mitchell November 14, 2008 at 10:46 am

this would be great for hiking!

Ilse November 14, 2008 at 10:54 am

I would finally be able to cook and do dishes without my clingy 17-month old clutching my pants and whining to be held!

TAMMY November 14, 2008 at 11:10 am

This would be great at the park. I can keep an any eye on my toddler while keeping the wee one close.

William November 14, 2008 at 11:13 am

I would use this on a clingy baby when I need to do some housework.

Cara November 14, 2008 at 1:55 pm

Wow, this looks fantastic! I’m dying to find something that doesn’t kill my lower back when carting around my 6 month old. I’d simply like to eat dinner with two free hands!

Misty November 14, 2008 at 1:56 pm

Ok, this looks just wonderful. I have tried other wraps and slings, but I would be intrested to see how this one works. What would I use it to do? What could I not do? The thing I need most is to have my hands free to run after the toddler!

Dan November 14, 2008 at 2:41 pm

I’d do the laundry

Paula H November 14, 2008 at 3:08 pm

I would go to the library.

Matthew Meisenhelder November 14, 2008 at 3:35 pm

i would play wii !!

the movements may even rock the baby to sleep

Laura G November 14, 2008 at 4:27 pm

housework and shopping

Amber November 14, 2008 at 5:35 pm

I could finally scrapbook all the pics that are gathering dust in my shoebox!

Emma November 14, 2008 at 6:11 pm

Eric used to love his sling, but he is too heavy for it now. I miss it to because it distributes the weight perfectly – and he’s a heavy baby. I was looking for something that would let me take him hiking but just couldn’t find anything suitable. If I get one of these Scootababy’s we would go for much more walks together, to the beach (he loves the beach!), on walking trails in the park and even picking cherries!
Wish us luck :)

Julieh November 14, 2008 at 6:34 pm

I would take a nice stroll around the zoo!

Veronica L. November 14, 2008 at 6:37 pm

This would be absolutely perfect for me! I am expecting number three this Spring and having two toddler boys to keep up with, I know that I would sure use this!

Thanks for a great giveaway ;)

Laura November 14, 2008 at 6:43 pm

I would do everything wearing Grant in the Scootababy.. well, almost everything ;) Housework, shopping, errands, you name it! Right now I mostly carry him on my hip as it is! (often while pushing the stroller he has rejected!)

Tammara November 14, 2008 at 7:04 pm

I woild love this carrier. I would be able to carrry my youngest son and keep up with my 2 1/2 year old son.

Sarah November 14, 2008 at 7:06 pm

I’d love to have it. My daughter and I would use it to go for our daily walks together! Sign me up! :)

Kristin November 14, 2008 at 8:51 pm

I want, I want ;)

Kristin November 14, 2008 at 8:53 pm

I would love it…that would be one of the very few new things my child has….bless his heart…second child! He loves being held and his mommy! :)

Donna K November 14, 2008 at 10:59 pm

I could wear it while I do housework.

Julie November 14, 2008 at 11:43 pm

I would vacuum the house while wearing my baby. You can’t really vacuum during naptime, and sometimes the sound of the vacuum can be frightening…so this is ideal. I used to carry the baby I nannied on me all the time when vacuuming needed to be done!!

Alice Hansen November 14, 2008 at 11:47 pm

I would go to the mall and shop! I just had my first and the stroller is just too much for getting any “fun” shopping done. Thanks for the chance!

Terra H November 15, 2008 at 4:13 am

I would be able to grocery shop easily!!

Stephen Dell November 15, 2008 at 6:58 am

Washing the dishes!

Pam Smith November 15, 2008 at 8:16 am

I would love to be able to give this to my son for my upcoming new grandchild. My daughter said she wishes she had one for her son. Great website!

Shana November 15, 2008 at 9:36 am

I would do the laundry… haha…

Jessica November 15, 2008 at 9:46 am

I would go grocery shopping!

kerry November 15, 2008 at 11:24 am

Pick my nose in peace :) lol

Pam November 15, 2008 at 11:36 am

This carrier would be wonderful for my daughter…she loves the carrier she has but will need one for the toddler growth…handy for walking or hands-free chores.. Thanks for the chance to win.

Crystal November 15, 2008 at 12:44 pm

This is such a great idea! My son looks about the age of the boy in the photo above & I think it would be awesome to wear shopping, around the house, etc. This is a GREAT giveaway!
Thank you!
