Funny! I have a little girl turning 6 who has two big brothers and my problem has been keeping her from boy-themed parties! She wanted Power Rangers, so I steered towards Supergirl…. she already has the costume and the Batgirl one as well… so Amy don’t worry! It is ok to do the Princess and and Beauty Parlor for your little girl! She will grow up strong with the two older brothers… :0) Love the simple and fun way you celebrated your girls birthday, I hope my comes out as fun for her and her friends!

Hey Whitney — I met you at Mom 2.0 and knew you lived nearby but did not realize you also have a turning-4 yr old-summer-baby-girl! I like these party ideas. Was thinking of a tea party for my daughter in August (per her request – okay, order) but possibly I can persuade her to do Super Girl. At least tea party doesn’t = princess though. (Right? One can hope.)

This is wonderful. As a mom of a baby girl (with 2 big brothers), everyone keeps telling me that princesses and beauty salons are inevitable. But I plan to do my best to introduce my little girl to her strong, creative side. Thanks for leading the way for me!
