Reader Did-Do: Monthly chair photos

by Whitney on April 8, 2010

A local-to-us rookie mom, Jen, told us “The monthly shot (now on 2nd kid, too) with the same toy in the same chair is still going strong at now 33 months. (No, we haven’t figured out when we’ll stop. Kindergarten? When she rolls her eyes & flips us off every month?)”

I asked her to show us what she’s got.  Here are photos from months 7, 10, 13, and 32.

It’s never too late to start, friends!

P.S. A did-do is something that you did, rather than a to-do!

We’ve done this with a giant stuffed panda (the “theme” of the nursery):

See? This is where I sound like the stalker fan! I did this with my boys for 18 months then I put together a book on My Publisher for the grandparents.

We are on month 14 of doing this too. I put together a collage poster for our daughter’s 1 year birthday party that you might enjoy:

I’ve been doing this one for the first year (with a few misses)… it made a nice appendix for the blog book all the grandparents got at Christmas! Glad to see I’m not the only one who has a few pics that don’t actually involve the child SITTING in the chair.

I love how each shot shows her little one’s personality, not the traditional sit-still-and-smile picture.

@LauraC you are one of my favorite stalkers. Aren’t we all each others stalkers? I mean I get updates on your runs on Twitter!

@Brian OMG – that is THE CUTEST! Everyone! Look at Brian’s link and wish it was yours, right?!

Here’s ours! We quit when he out-grew the stripped onsie. Love looking at other’s ideas for future babies that may come into our lives.
