I am posting a comment. No more lurking for me!! Glad you ordered the laptop lunchbox. Plastic or metal is definitely the way to go for lunchboxes that have to weather the ups and downs of preschool. Vinyl is definitely OUT -- it stinks to high heaven once after just a week or two of encounters with smooshed PB&J, blueberries, or yogurt. As for sleeping bags, I'll put in a pitch for the Bazoongi bags. They are indestructible and look new every time we wash it. Very well made, but not as much money as PBK. Hah! I am posting a comment. Be sure to put your child's name on whatever you use in some sort of glaringly obvious kind of way though- some of the moms in my class got together and had a crafts day for the kids to decorate their lunchboxes so the kids had control and after that noone lost a lunchbox to another again.... as for the sleeping bag if you have a sewing machine it's really easy to make one out of a favorite twin or toddler bed sized comforter- just fold up to about the shoulders and stich up the sides if you want to get really fancy you can stitch a travel sized pillow to the head area just put the pillow in a pillowcase (or use a piece of cloth about 2 inches bigger on all sides than the pillow) and stitch around.
