I've been there several times with my baby-now-toddler. I have to admit though, this is one of those outings that is totally for me. She's really not into it. The last time we went she had more fun going up and down the stairs than looking at the pretty flowers. We'll keep going together until I have to pay admission for her, and then we'll probably wait a few more years before we take her again. For now she'll have to get her flower fix in our garden or on walks.

I took my 15 month old to the nursery in our area the other day. Even he loved looking at all of the flowers. He was in the Ergo and I let him touch some of them. We picked out two ferns and hung them on porch. Perfect sunny morning activity.

I didn't realize this was a challenge for the week, but we accomplished it as well. We started our first ever garden...so that entailed two trips to the local garden center. The baby just played with my keys, but my 3yo loved every minute of it. Wish us luck because we really don't know what we're doing!

Next on my list is housing my own hens. Though I'm not sure if hubby (or our beagle) would go for that. But, at $4.50 for a dozen organic eggs, it seems like a good deal to me. Must investigate further. :)
