You have to use it several days in a row. But I think most women get nipple pain (or cracking or bleeding) unless their kids have a very light suction. My kids both disfigured my nipples so badly they hardly recuperated between feedings. Nursing hurts. At least for the first month or so. Lanolin definitely works the best. I had good luck with Motherlove nipple cream. Come to think of it, that sounds just as silly. I was wigged out already the babies they showed at a breastfeeding class looked like they were making on the boob like it was a burger. I didn't purchase Mommy's Bliss but I do have a tube of Lansinoh which apparently is safe for babies. Try calling the manufacturer. They may give you some type of refund.
