I hope the person behind Friends With a Fish is not offended by my stealing her idea. I’m sure she does a more artful job than the rest of us untrained photographers could do. But I think I might try this myself anyway.
Those favorite baby clothes that you are saving for something (you don’t know what and let’s face it, you’re never going to make that quilt and neither is your mother) can be memorialized yet another way. Take a close up photo of the fabric using the macro setting on your camera (that little tulip icon). Print and frame.

I once used a piece of an old baby blanket of mine as a matte for a photo of a favourite aunt’s new baby.
I’ll probably use this idea again for a scrapbook or framed photos of my little girl using her old baby clothes and blankets.
