That is interesting. I find my unpadded ring sling to be far more comfortable than any other sling I’ve used. I guess the reason there is such a variety of carriers to choose from is because we all have different preferences:)

And you are right, tobasco. It is always good to borrow someone else’s to see if it is worth the time/money investment.

Hiya @tobasco, my problem is generally fitting it on my body correctly. And fitting him in so he’s not all lopsided and banging into stuff. User error.

What do you need to know about wearing it? Make sure that his chin isn’t touching his chest. If it is, then you can fold a receiving blanket and put it under his back to prop him up so that his neck is straight. Make sure that his face isn’t touching your body or the fabric of the sling. Personally I found ring slings to be uncomfortable and too much work. Could you borrow someone’s to see which you like better?

honestly, I find a ring sling is easier to make because it is adjustable and doesn’t need to fit to your measurements. It is just a long hemmed rectangle attached to a pair of high quality rings.
