The cool chicks at Cool Mom Picks have put together a Mother’s Day gift guide. But I want to know what you guys wish for.
It can be material (I’ll take some earrings from Anthropologie) or non-material (Banana pancakes in bed. No whining. And for my linen closet to be totally organized.)
Heather wants to only do the fun mothering things with no diapers or dishes. And to have a necklace with both boys names and/or baby faces. (I have this awesome one from PenelopePoet.com.) And to eat brunch at Bette’s with no waiting.
What do you want?

I want a keepsake box for my baby’s things that I’ve had my eye on for a while but am too cheap to buy for myself. It also would be nice to get that haircut I so badly need!
Well, I had wanted red mulch…but after reading your post…I think I need to aim higher. =-)
A massage!!!
I want a relaxing day spent with my family @ home.
And, since this is just a “wish” list, I’d also like:
* maid service
* grocery delivery
* a shopping spree for new clothes that fit until I can squeeze back into my pre-pregnancy clothes comfortably
* a photographer to come take family photos
* cheesecake with cheeries on top
I want two things: 1) an uninterrupted nap, and 2) a Real Madrid jersey. Unfortunately, when I told my husband about the jersey he said, “Where do I buy it? What size? How about you order it online and we know that I got it for you?”
I don’t think I’ll have any better luck with the uninterrupted nap. Maybe I should just ask for flowers and jewelry that I’ll never wear.
mani + pedi + people magazine without the kiddies
waffles + long walk + finger painting with the kids
My wishlist – 1) beach picnic w/ kiddos with take out fried chicken from Meritt’s 2) gift in kind donated to a worthy cause. In the coming years, my husband wants to take the boys camping so I can sleep in. But then, how would I celebrate? By myself? Big dilemma.
hmmm….I’d love a night out with friends and drinks and dinner and uninterrupted conversations. A massage would be lovely. But my day wouldn’t be complete without a big squeeze hug and an, “I wuv you” from my 2 – year old.
I want a closet as organized and beautiful as the one in your photo!
@Amy the photo is courtesy of Martha Stewart. I should have said that in the post.
What I wouldn’t do for a euro-holiday sans children with the hubby. *sigh*
