Lake Temescal is a classic favorite for us. Easy to get to, lot’s of space. Sand. Grass. Water. Trees. Bugs. Birds. Hiking options, if we’re up for it.
Just Liked Rookie Moms’ FB (and love that there’s a pic of the crazy breast pump halter in the photos).
Like HealthyChild. Looks like an interesting organization.

There is a beautiful little retreat here in the suburbs of Seattle called ‘Boeing Creek’. It is what I like to call a mini hike because it is just a short 30 minute walk around. When you are in the middle of the walk you would never think you are in the middle of a city because it just feels like you are off away in some forest. It is a treat o go there and it would be a fun place to bring the little ones to splash around in the creek and collect nature’s little wonders to observe later!

Best place in our town to have a picnic is at the town square which is just a mile from our house. Lots of green space, a fountain and play area for kids.

This would be great for us. We’ve been talking about having a picnic at the Lake in Oakland for a while now.
There is a great little park near our house just a block away that has table for picnics. We usually go there to play on the play structure and let our dog play there too with our son.
They both love going down the slide.

I love Garfield Park in South Pasadena for my (almost!) 4 year old and 5 month old. Big amazing amazing trees, bathrooms (yaaay!), great playground and hilly greens for picnics. We had my son’s 3rd birthday party there and it was so much fun.
