January’s goal: only one slip up for “Pleasure”

If you really follow the Compact for one year, I believe you’re allowed to buy new shoes and undies. But if you’re following a cheater version for one month only, it’s kinda lame to buy new shoes. Right?

Well, I bought new shoes over the weekend and I feel ok about it. Reasons Self-justifications why:

• Village Shoes in Elmwood offered to give me a free pair of boots when they could not repair mine. They are awesome. I must repay the good karma.
• I looked and looked for new shoes to buy in their store to keep the good juju flowing and chose these.
• I have no cute, comfy heels.

But other than my slip up with the shoes (which are kinda not so bad in my mind), I have not purchased any new toys or clothes or *things* of any kind this month.
