Cute coats! Tis true what others in cold climates are saying though — I grew up in WI and went to college in MI. When you’re walking to class in literal below zero temps…cute doesn’t matter nor does it exist! Down coats just aren’t sleek and cute like the ones you posted. So do I love living in CA? Why, yes, yes, I do:)

That prairie underground hoodie is so worth it. I have one and wear it all the time. It is cute, comfortable, even more stylish then the advertising makes it look. And when you aren’t using the hood you can fluff it up around your neck like a cowl. So good. I have easily spent that much on ten almost-right hoodies, this one is perfect.

@Whitney You cave too easily. These ladies are the exact ones who should invest in a good-looking overcoat. And this overcoat can go OVER an ugly house-coat like I’ve been wearing (thank you North Face) or be lined in Thinsulate. I think you should write another post with even warmer picks for colder weather and these ladies can wear your picks above in the spring and fall.

Oh my gosh, the timing of this is hilarious to me!! We’re about to get walloped with a snow/ice storm that will shut down most of the schools and businesses tomorrow. Those are some really adorable spring coats! But nothing we will wear in North Carolina until late March-ish except for random global warming days?

This is the coat I am about to wear to pick up my kids. On top of a fleece. With gloves and a hat. And I live in the south.
