Try to run the top through the dishwasher. The rest of the mug seems to do ok with handwashing, but the lid has handled many visits through the dishwasher.

When I went back to get it, it was a leettle scratched up, but it HADN’t LEAKED AT ALL. I could do a commercial for this mug I love it so much.

I don’t think I’ve had it long enough to figure out if washing it is a problem. This is what I do:
1. leave my drink in it for too long.
2. dump it, add dish soap and boiling water, shake it.
2.5 spray it out safely through the mouthpiece.
3. refill and go again.

I should probably add a step where I scrub it a bit and let it dry fully.
