I have a girl 6 month and a boy 18 month. When it's bathtime I put Kara in her crib and take Connor to the bathroom. Once I've got him in and all washed while sitting on my little stepstool, I let him play while I go grab Kara (just across the landing). In the bathroom she gets undressed and placed in her baby bathtub on the floor next to the big tub that Connor is in. I sit on the stepstool and bathe her while he splashes and plays. Then she gets toweled off and dressed. Her tub gets drained in the sink. She chills in her crib while I dry and dress her brother and do the rest of his bedtime routine. By the time I've put him in his crib for the night, she's passed out in hers for her evening nap (Connor has a really early bedtime because he's such a morning person). Other than the few moments it takes me to grab Kara and taker her back, they are both within arms reach of me the entire time and it is a much quicker process than it sounds when written out.

I have twins, and have done a number of different things to bathe them at the same time (although, right now it's much easier to go one at a time, because they are 10 months old and LOVE standing). I was so excited when I learned a tip from another twin mom--use laundry baskets!

As long as they can sit up pretty well, the basket keeps them and their toys contained. If they do fall over, the basket is soft enough plastic that it won't hurt. And the biggest plus? Each basket was $2.50 at Target! My bathtub just barely fits two baskets, but the boys will probably use the baskets for a while.

Here's them about 2 months ago, when they could share a basket:

I say go for it and throw both in the tub. I've got a 8 mos. old and a 3 y.o. I do "low tide" first and bathe the baby then as I'm drying, diapering, etc., big sister gets to fill up the tub and frolic.

Works for me. And now for my shameless plug. I've got FOUR, count them 1-2-3-4 awesome fashion contests running on my blog. http://momtrends.blogspot.com/

Be sure to stop by and check them out. And if you ever need a guest blogger let me know!
