It’s no secret that I think that new moms should let the party come to them as often as possible. When I was in my rookie year, I hosted potlucks, game nights, TV screenings, and Wii karaoke events as often as I could.
Invite a few friends, get them to bring the food, put my baby to bed whenever I need to, and I’m a happy mom!
When I heard about House Party, I got excited. Not only do these folks give you an excuse and theme for a party, but also really cool swag for you and your guests as thanks for your time.
An upcoming one is for The Fisher Price “Perfect Playdate” — the host mama gets some new toys and all the guests get toys, too.
I’m pretty sure that you still have ask someone to bring the pizza and beer.
- Find out more details about Perfect Playdate. Apply now for parties Saturday and Sunday, September 18 and 19, 2010.
- Sign up for their email list to keep an eye out for future House Parties that you might like even more (board games, make-up, TV, food, condoms, whatever you’re into).
- For those mamas who are into green, non-toxic living, hop over to Healthy Child and sign up for one of their House Party kits.

Disclosure: No, this wasn’t a sponsored post in any way. I just think it’s a cool idea. Let me know if you love it or hate it in the comments.

i just checked out their site… really cool idea but i’m a little confused… why does it have to be on the specific dates? does someone from the sponsor attend your party and try to sell things to you??? or is it just free and they just want you to report back?
Great question, Beka. I think they want folks to host the parties and report back with feedback and maybe photos all at the same time.
thanks heather! i just signed up and when i read the actual agreement it said to host the parties “on or about” the date which works perfectly for me since i was already hosting a party the weekend before! thanks so much for the tip!
The mom’s group I belong to often collects toys & supplies for children in need- the Fisher Price party would be a great way to earn a few new toys to donate.
Cheers!
What a great idea! I love this!
this looks SO cool! i went to sign up and then after i’d done the registration, it turns out the Fisher Price party is just for US residents (i’m in Canada). i looked everywhere on the website to see if it was all parties or just some that are like that but i couldn’t tell. do you know offhand?
Hi Bec, this is Terese Kelly from House Party. We do have parties in Canada occasionally – for example our Microsoft Windows 7 event back in October. But you are right, Fisher-Price is just U.S. Check our site every once in a while. Hopefully we’ll have one soon! Thanks!
I have been a happy member of House Party monthly playstation rewards and have nothing but good things to say
