@CM, I always thought that my four hours of pushing was such total BS. We should talk bladders another day.

Thanks @Wendy! I heard at the time that the average woman’s labor is 20 hours. So, girls like us need to bring up the average.

FOUR HOURS OF PUSHING!!! My two hours of pushing with my second kid (VBAC) were the two most excruciating hours of my life. Plus it did something to my bladder and I was catheterized for a week. “Natural” childbirth = WAY overrated.

Wahoooo! Go Heather! I was cheering for you the whole time I read this. I had a 30 hour labor with Wyatt and always thought that gave me bragging/bitching rights, but you totally win!

Thanks for sharing, Heather. I am so glad you were able to avoid a cesarean and that your medical team helped you safely deliver. Yours is the first pre-eclampsia vaginal birth story I’ve read. You and your sister must have been awesome advocates!

OMG, it’s like my two birth stories with worst points combined, the “oh no no c-section nowwww” and then the vacuum included. Tank G-d it only took me 12 hours with the pitocin to give birth to the youngest

I love how the whole ordeal was so long that you were more interested in the ban on food being lifted than the child that just came out of your body. Appropriately.

Myself, I was obsessed with lemonade.

When I was finally handed the baby, my arms also could not properly hold him. They were made of lead. I let a nurse put my boob in his mouth while I just sat back and watched.
