Great list. I also recently learned that you can set up an RSS for Craig’s List….so that when something becomes available, it will pop up in your feed….much better than scanning the page daily.

I always put the toys we have outgrown and don’t have a new home for onto Freecycle. They have groups all over the country and you can post things you have to offer or look for things you want. Kids toys are VERY popular!

Great list of ideas! Another idea for reuse is to check on Freecycle — especially for those big outdoor toys. If there’s an active Freecycle group in your area they come up fairly frequently.

Good reminders! Any tips on getting your family to buy into it though? Our kiddo’s first birthday is coming up in January and we’re trying to get them into the whole “organic” and “earth friendly” gift idea, if they insist on giving gifts. We already have so much stuff!

Great tips! I prefer PlanToys to Imagiplay stuff. In my experience, they are a lot more durable.
