We got a great tip from longtime reader, Ghanimatrix, about how she squeezes in more me time. She says:
The best way for me to find “me time” is to either stay on top of chores so that nap time becomes leisure time, OR to go run an errand when my husband gets home and stop for a hot chocolate and space out before I head home.
Though I don’t exactly stay on top of my chores, she had me at hot chocolate.

“Stay on top of chores.” People actually do that? I’m thinking that becomes an urban myth once you become a mother.
I like the idea of running an errand and stopping off for a cup of hot chocolate — even just 5 minutes of “me” time is worth it!
Thanks for reminding me that I need to treat myself! I think tonight it’ll be wine and cheese
Those Starbucks inside Target are perfect for stealing a few minutes for yourself.
And yes, I actually do try to stay on top of chores! I just love the feeling of sanity that comes over me when the kids are in bed and the house isn’t a mess.
Darling, it’s not about trying to stay on top of chores, it’s actually *doing* it…
I also love that feeling of sanity, but I can’t remember when I last had it.
