@Carly, I’m with you. Maybe. One of my sons got a pillow pet so now the other one is woefully lacking (boo hoo). I can’t figure out whether I should even the score or remind him that he has about 9 stuffed animals in his bed already. But the pillow/animal/blanket thingie… how is that better?

I gave our 5 year old my American Girl doll (Samantha) from my childhood. It was the PERFECT age for her to get this doll…you’re smart to start with the mini-versions. I got her when I was a little too old to play with her, so she was in perfect condition. We’ve been getting the AG stories from the library on CD so that added to the excitement…but again 5 is a much better age to even start understanding some of the history for those stories. Thankfully AC Moore has clothes and a doll trunk that didn’t break the bank to add to the gift.

My son has the Marble Run set and he adores it. I even love playing it with him. It’s so much fun.

Don’t get me started on the pillow pets. There is a magical unicorn that has been residing in my house for over a year now…

Marble runs rock! I’m amazed at how much use we’ve gotten out of our marble run. As my kids get older it occasionally gets put in the donate pile only to be grabbed out again by the boys and played with regularly for the next few weeks.

OMG, I spent $100 on Pillow Pets this Christmas. EVERY ONE of my kids (3, 7, 12, 14 & 18) wanted one for Christmas. UGH!
