Someone figured me out and developed ParentsDigest, a service that summarizes parenting books into 8 page PDFs and sends them to you in email. They read the books so that we don’t have to, they assure us.
I skimmed the nicely designed PDF about Babyproofing Your Marriage and learned within 30 seconds that the key to that book is “The Five Minute Fix” which means blowing, um, your husband’s mind (wink wink) with generosity, so that he will feel appreciated and have a positive attitude toward household responsibilities. What a fabulous idea! There are so many parenting books that I would love to read but with newborn twins there is never enough time! I will have to try out their service. Will they be summarizing your book anytime soon??
I wish they’d summarize our book because I believe the main point – get out of the house and have fun! – is so valuable. Alas, they’ve told us that books made of lists are difficult to summarize. Oh well. I guess you’ll have to buy our book
