Activity #305: Get some super fun T-shirts in the mail

by Heather

I don’t know about you, but none of my prepregnancy shirts seem to fit right. Too short, too tight. You get the idea.

Tees me pleaseI think that right after stepping out of your ill-fitting jeans, the next best thing you can do is find some fun T-shirts. Our friend Karen started a website that will send fun and funky T-shirts to my house. This is welcome news since the furthest I typically go to find my next fashion choice is Target (diapers, wipes, cute T-shirts, check!).

Yeah, you may be living in yoga pants, but your T-shirts don’t have to be plain plain plain too. (However, sometimes I think if Whitney sees me in my “funky monkey” tee shirt one more time, she’s gonna cut it off me with scissors.)

Mailbox Tees offers a subscription based model featuring limited editions by selected designers. (See below for giveaway details!).

They also have a plan for babies that increases the size for each subsequent shirt (very cute shower gift!). The plan for mommies (as I understand it) assumes you will be staying the same size.

And, Karen says that one person who comments on this post will be randomly selected to win a 3-month subscription to MailboxTees. As long as you comment before her holiday party on Saturday, December 15, because she will be too busy to read your comments then. So, comment before midnight on 12/14 and we’ll pick a winner on Saturday morning.

Cute idea!! I wish I’d known about this for the last shower I went to!

2 Katherine 12.05.07 at 7:32 am

What a great idea … we do tend to wear the same comfy shirt so I’m all about changing it up.

I would love to stay the same size after this baby comes out at Christmas. Here’s hoping! ;-)

7 Katie 12.05.07 at 9:08 am

I’m starting to accept that prepregnancy weight does not equate to prepregnancy body, so I could really use some new clothes!

8 Kira 12.05.07 at 9:09 am

These are Fabulous!

9 Jessica 12.05.07 at 9:30 am

I also would love to stay the same size. Perhaps this would be great motivation!

Love these!

42 Christina W 12.05.07 at 3:00 pm

Sadly - it’s taking me a long time to size down, so a new tee pick-me-up would be a boon! (Gotta agree that the sizing up option for the babes is adorable!

43 Owen's mom 12.05.07 at 3:16 pm

It’s so hard to find cute, great fitting tees - I’d love to try these!

44 Tami 12.05.07 at 3:20 pm

hooray! This is a fabulous idea! I hate, hate, hate wearing plain-jain t-shirts. I’ve become ambitious enough to make sure my daughter has one-of-a-kinds, but I’ve yet to venture into creating my own t-shirts.

45 j kerr 12.05.07 at 3:43 pm

OH! I love the backstabber! That is great!

82 Jewelshud 12.06.07 at 10:08 am

Like shoes - this is one thing you can never have too many of!

83 Qtpies7~ 12.06.07 at 10:12 am

I have never heard of this and it is a great idea. Moms, especially first time moms, get so wrapped up in the baby and home life and trying to balance things, that they forget about themselves.
I think a new shirt arriving in the mail would be just the thing to encourage a mom, and maybe even enough to hop in the shower real quick, too!

84 melissa 12.06.07 at 11:05 am

i just had my 2nd child and could sure some nifty tees!!!

85 Caryn Bailey 12.06.07 at 12:04 pm

What a great idea! I just had my little girl and am fed up with my wardrobe options already!

92 mommydrinxcuzyoucry 12.06.07 at 3:21 pm

But why would anyone want tshirts that seem to only fit a person built like a 12 yr old boy? Do any of us look like the model in the pictures? I NEVER looked like the models in the picture.

93 Stacey Moore 12.06.07 at 4:16 pm

Very cute shirts!! Thanks!!

94 Tiffany 12.06.07 at 4:32 pm

101 tnchick 12.06.07 at 11:49 pm

Had to go back and look at your photo/ad again… due to the “12 yr. old boy” comment - they look like normal sized adults/people to me.

Anyway, enter me for a chance to win. Sound neat.

Fabulous idea! Every time I get a new t-shirt it immediately becomes my new favorite. I wear it over and over until I’m sick of it too. I’d love to periodically get a new favorite in the mail!

110 Jessica B. 12.07.07 at 8:05 pm

I think it is awesome that you can get shirts in the mail! Having a baby makes it hard to find time to go shopping for things like that. Plus getting mail that is not a bill is always fun.

111 Heather of liliputians NYC 12.08.07 at 8:54 am

One can never have too many tees! Great contest . . . hope I win!

112 Molly 12.08.07 at 11:48 am

Such a great idea! I know all of my pre-pregnancy shirts are too short and too tight! And every time I try to go shopping, I end up buying something for the baby instead of me….so easily distracted :-)

Awesome idea! I want these! I love that they are available for babies too.

125 Amy H 12.10.07 at 8:18 am

I love me a good T-shirt. None of that Target crap. I’m 7 mos. post-baby and I still have nothing that fits. My boobs are still to big-making my prebaby shirts look like something L.Lohan would wear. Except her tummy is remarkably firmer.

I cry out for help from you.

126 Lilypad Mom 12.10.07 at 8:25 am

What a really great idea. I love the baby ones for a shower gift.

127 Laura 12.10.07 at 12:17 pm

My son is 10 weeks old and I had been wearing my maternity tees up until last week; I am totally a jeans and tee girl. I just bought 4 long sleeved tees at Gap, and will rotate those for the next few weeks:-( I would love to have some of your tees, it is a GREAT idea!
