Hey Whitney,
Just got back from a frustrating trip to Target trying to find something for my almost 3- year old daughter. I came home empty handed. I thought, I bet Whitney has recommendations for board games, and sure enough, here is your list. Thanks for this great list. Now I have a few I'll look for at the neighborhood toy store. Maika
PS My son loved Zingo, as did I.

we just got my 3-year-old son dr. seuss's super stretchy ABC game. It's like Twister but with the alphabet. So kids have to learn to recognize their letters, to be both the caller and the "stretcher." And each letter has a corresponding picture that starts with that letter, and sometimes you have to put your hand/food/ear on the letter, and sometimes the picture. So you also need to be able to figure out what letter the word starts with to find it quickly on the mat. So...it's learning, but with all the "stretching" it's a good physical activity too :-)

Thanks so much for this list! We live in a small town, so the selection of games isn't that great at the toy store, and figuring out what games preschoolers like can be really tricky!
