I am not sure if it qualifies as a Superpower but I seem to get my son love his study time cuz I kind of make it fun for him. I love this post as I was always wanting to be the best at everything concerning my child.

But now I step back sometimes and let other people in the house be in charge of certain aspects of his day to day workings.

First... the book is called MotherStyles. It is one of my favorite parenting books! I recommend it whenever someone starts talking about mom guilt or comparing themselves to other parents. It helped me see my strengths in a new light, and made me feel better about my weaknesses.

My not so secret super hero name is Captain Industrious. I get stuff DONE, and a lot of it.

I am an ISTJ and this is a common trait to the type. My husband is also an ISTJ, which is why we do pretty awesome living and parenting together. He is Mr. Detail Oriented. Unfortunately we also share a common kryptonite, disorder and chaos, which is to say that every day as parents we have to battle our kryptonite.

My superpower is confidence. Once I decide to do something, or try that really short haircut, I own it regardless of whether I'm great at it. Life's too short not to take pride and enjoyment out of your life choices.

I'm sure my daughter will find me and my confidence embarrassing when she's a teenager, but I sincerely hope that my superpower rubs off on her and that she grows to be a confident, compassionate, and happy young woman.

My superpower is that I can get shiznit done in the midst of many distractions. My siblings started the "Earthquake Test" when I was younger, meaning they would shake me while I was reading to see if I would stop reading. Now, I can prepare dinner and/or fold and put away clothes while two kids, my husband and someone on the phone are talking to me. At the same time. At work, I can power through conference calls and transcriptions and our game play-by-play while everyone is running around and there is commotion. I think it helps my family keep moving forward because otherwise there would only be chaos and no routine or order, or clean clothes ;-)
