I totally agree with this!!! I have to psych myself up everytime we go somewhere new/big… but most of the time, I’m pleasantly surprised at how well our little guy (and myself!) do on the adventure! In fact, I just blogged about this!

They say knowing is half the battle and hindsight is 20/20, right? Well, it really is amazing what a difference being prepared and knowing what to expect can make. If you know what can go wrong and what the solution is, you feel like you can conquer the world! It must have felt SO GOOD to have such a successful second outing and to be able to enjoy the time out with your family! Kudos!

This reminded me so much of one of my first solo outings with my baby to Target. He cried the whole time and I didn’t know where to go or what to do with my cart. I finally decided to go into the dressing room, but the lady at the counter gave me a hard time about it until I started getting weepy. I ended up camped out in the dressing room for 45 minutes.

Oh, what a lovely post – both outings. I know what it’s like that first time you go out and things just aren’t going how you think they should. But every time you go out again, you learn something new, and gain more confidence!
